Transference is an intrinsic ability that allows monsters to replenish their health when the land a successful hit on a non-inanimate target. The health they regain is proportional to the damage dealt. There is a slight oddity with this ability; hostile creatures always regain health equal to 90% of the damage dealt, but for allied monsters this is reduced to 40%. The player can gain this ability by wearing a Ring of Transference. The proportion of health that they regain (or lose,.if the ring is cursed) is dependent on the enchantment level of their ring(s), but is never less than 1 HP.
